The Greene County Rams split varsity basketball games against CMB Friday night in Jefferson.
The girls won 52-44, bringing their season record to 4-1 overall and in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. Kayla Mobley led in scoring withy 16 points. Stacy Mears scored 10 and Hanna Onken scored nine.
“We played really strong for three quarters. The girls did a better job taking care of the ball,” said head girls coach Chad Morton. I thought our press did a good job of making them turn the ball over. I thought Stacy Mears stepped up and made some big shots for us. We are still learning about our team when it comes to strengths and weaknesses.”
The boys lost by a score of 64-46. Their season record is 1-3 overall and in the HOIAC. Trey Tucker, Riah Nelsen and Mitchell Gorsuch led the scoring with eight points each.
